  • Location: Suite 12, Mater Medical Centre, Jessie Street, The Range, Rockhampton QLD 4700
  • Parking is available on Jessie Street and around the surrounding streets.
  • The entrance to the Mater Medical Centre is off Jessie Street. Proceed via the lift or stairs to Level 1 and the clinic is situated in Suite 12.

What will Happen during the Appointment?

  • Please allow 2 hours for the appointment. Refreshments are available in the waiting room.
  • Your eyes will most likely be dilated with eyedrops which means it will not be possible to drive for several hours after the appointment. The dilation will make your vision blurry and also slightly more light sensitive so sunglasses are important. For these reasons, it is best if a family member or friend can accompany you to the appointment so you don't have to drive.
  • You will initially see one of our clinical optometrists/assistants  who will perform a thorough workup including preliminary tests and scans (OCT, Biometry, Topography) before you see Dr Moloney.
  • If you wear contact lenses, please ring our reception prior to your appointment as  these may need to be removed for several days prior to your assessment.
  • In rooms procedures include intravitreal injections, laser treatments and minor eyelid procedures. Cataract Surgery, Pterygium Surgery and Retinal Surgery are performed in the operating theatres at the Mater Hospital Rockhampton.
